Mega events held at Kuligam, Khurhama, Chandigam

Kupwara : A Mega event regarding POSHAN MAAH 2021 was organised in several zones including Kuligam and Khurhama of ICDS Project Wavoora, yesterday. Vice Chairman DDC, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir was chief guest on the occasion.During the events, different cultural activities were performed by field functionaries and Anganwadi workers which included skits, dramas and folk songs to emphasize the importance of Poshan Maah.Besides, the ICDS workers displayed placards reading clear messages about maintenance of hygiene and proper nutrition for building of a healthy nation.

In his address, Haji Farooq urged upon the officers and field functionaries of the concerned department to reach out the benefits of the schemes to the people living in far off areas of Lolab valley.Meanwhile, CDPO Wavoora, Abdul Qayoom Wani highlighted the achievements of the ICDS Project in various zones of the block to create further awareness among participants regarding ICDS schemes.On the occasion, many Anganwadi workers were felicitated with certificates of appreciation for their best performance in the Poshan Maah programme.The programme was attended by BDC Wavoora, Sarpanchs, Panchs and general public.Similar programme was organised at TRC Chandigam in block Sogam, yesterday.
