Mega Block devas held at 3 blocks of Kulgam

Kulgam : The District Administration Kulgam today organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.During the programme functions were held at Devsar, Kulgam and D. H. Pora blocks of the district.

Officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demand of the public for timely redressal at all the three venues.Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over grievance redressal camp here at Kulgam where he listened to various issues of people for redressal.

At the outset of the progrramme ACD Mohammad Imran Khan also briefed on action taken over the grievances and issues which were highlighted by the people in previous Block Devas function.

People from Redwani, Frisal, Behibagh, Daderkoot, Mohamadpora, Arreh, Chensar, Ashthal, Kulgam, Okey, Akhal and other areas participated in this grievance redressal camp and apprised the Deputy Commissioner about their issues and grievances for timely redressal.

PRI members and officers from District administration were also present during this block Diwas.A Delegation of people from Behibagh demanded macadamisation on the rest part of Mohamadpora to Behibagh. Public from Redwani demanded proper desilting of irrigation canal and Development of road.

Similarly, residents from Kulgam demanded development of a park in Bungam and establishment of a High school in the main town. Also, people from several other areas also flagged various demands and put forth their issues for early redressal.

A delegation from Ashthal demanded Flood protection bund on the veshow river whe locals from other area also put forth their issues and demands to the Deputy Commissioner for redressal.Officers on the spot responded to the queries and demands of people pertaining to their departments.

The DC after giving patient hearing to the public, addressed scores of issues of immediate nature.Meanwhile grievances redressal camps were also organised at Block Devsar and D.H.Pora where officers remained available to listen and redress the issues and grievances of people.
