JKEDI’s 10 day Entrepreneurship Development Programme Concludes at Udhampur

Udhampur : The 10-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), under Mission Youth’s Tejaswini livelihood scheme, concluded today at the district center Udhampur of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI).

The training program was based on simulations and lasted for 10 days. The trainees were provided basic business training to help them establish small business ventures like retail outlets, DTP centers, ready-made garment shops, boutiques, salons, and provisional stores, dairy and poultry farms.

The trainees were from different areas of the district including Panchari, Lander, Pakhlai, Jib Thathi, Chilldi, Garhi and Badali.A field visit to the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Udhampur was also part of the training program.

The Officials from J&K Bank, District Employment and Counseling Centre, State Taxes Department, Animal Husbandry Department, and Labour Department delivered guest lectures.An interaction and experience-sharing session with a successful entrepreneur was also organized to motivate aspirants towards self-employment.

In his valediction message, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Director JKEDI congratulated the candidates and assured all possible help to help them set up their units. He advised candidates to use social media and modern marketing techniques to advance their businesses.

At the conclusion of the program, certificates were distributed among the trainees. Pradyot Gupta, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Udhampur also interacted with the participants at the valediction function. Rajesh Kotwal, District Nodal Officer, and Yash paul, Assistant Faculty, JKEDI were also present on the occasion.
