Jal Jeevan Mission : DC Poonch launches work of WSS at Kaller village in Balakote

Poonch : Deputy commissioner Poonch Inder Jeet along with DDC Member Balakote, Massarat Jabeen , BDC Chairperson Balakote, Shameem Akther and sarpanch Kallar Najma Kouser visited the block Balakote and kick started the work of Water Supply Scheme Khalabut Kaller under JJM.

The officers accompanying Deputy Commissioner were SDM Mendhar, Jahangir Khan, AEE Jal Shakti, Sajad Chowdhary, BDO Balakote, Waheed Iqbal besides other concerned officers.The sanction cost of the project is Rs. 624.24 lacs and on completion it would cater to the water supply needs of far flung areas of the block.

During his visit, the people of the area welcomed Deputy Commissioner, DDC and BDC Balakote and expressed gratitude for fulfilling their long pending demand.The Deputy Commissioner congratulated the public of the area and thanked LG administration for fulfilling the long pending demand of assured water supply Har Ghar Jal through Jal Jivan Mission scheme.The Deputy Commissioner directed the JSD/PHE department for time bound completion of the scheme.
