Independence Day arrangements finalized in Reasi

Reasi : Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today chaired a meeting to finalise the Independence Day celebrations.The DC reviewed arrangements for security, seating plan, installation of PAS, barricading, power, drinking water, refreshment for school children, transport, illumination of important government buildings and other necessary arrangements. She called for duly following Flag codes and Covid SOPs during the celebration.

It was informed in the meeting that the main event would be held at Sports Stadium starting with the National Flag hoisting at 8:55 AM sharp followed by inspection of the parade by the Chief Guest.

Eighteen contingents will take part in the march past. Concerned officers informed the chair that all the necessary arrangements have been done for the smooth conduct of the national event.

The Health department was asked to make availability of medical facilities including deployment of Ambulance with specialist Doctors, arrangement of masks and sanitizers, mandatory RT-PCR testing of all the Participants including thermal screening of those entering the stadium.

The ARTO and traffic police were asked to identify space for parking of vehicles. It was informed that space for parking of vehicles has to be identified.The DC directed different departments to submit the details of any recently completed Project so that the same could be inaugurated on the eve of 75th Independence Day.

She exhorted upon the officers to complete their assigned tasks to make this year’s Independence Day celebration a memorable event. Further, it was informed that Independence Day will be celebrated in each and every Panchayat and Youth clubs will hold flag hoistings.

The meeting was attended by ADC Abdul Star, CPO Sunita Kanchan, PO ICDS, ACD ACR, CHO, CMO, CEO, DIO, ARTO, LMO and other concerned officers.
