Rajouri : District Level Forests Right Committee which met today here under the chairmanship of the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal cleared 250 claims under Forest Rights Act.
DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; DFO Nowshera, Neelima; ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SDM Thanamandi, Vikas Dhar and other concerned officers attended the meeting .
After a threadbare discussion and scrutiny of the claims put up in the meeting, the Committee cleared 250 FRA claims.The DDC asked the concerned Committee members to work sincerely and efficiently to ensure that the rights under the Forest Rights Act were conferred to the targeted population on a fast track basis.
He also instructed them to make dedicated efforts to settle the maximum number of Forest Rights claims for genuine forest dwellers after a three level screening process as per the mandate of the act.
