District Panchayat Election Officer Pulwama holds a Press conference regarding Electoral Roll Summary Revision

Pulwama : District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary today held a press conference in his office chambers here at DC office regarding the electoral roll summary revision, which starts from December 21, 2022.

On the occasion, Choudhary said that the process of revision shall start in all the 190 Panchayats of the District simultaneously. The DC said that the main aim and objective of holding this presser is that the information regarding the Electoral Roll Summary Revision is disseminated to the general public.

DC further said that during the revision process, the electoral roll shall be revised, all new eligible voters shall be added and those required to be taken out of the roll shall be deleted. The DC stressed that the district administration is committed to ensure 100% registration of all eligible and left out voters during Revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls so that no voter is left out.

Through the medium of the press, the DC requested the general public and other stakeholders to actively participate in the Panchayat Electoral Roll revision exercise to ensure enrollment of all eligible voters in the Electoral Roll.

He said that the latest and lastly updated Panchayat Electoral Roll will serve as the base for the revised Roll. The DC also said that Special Camps for Electoral Roll Summary Revision will be organised at all the panchayats of the District.

He said the BLOs and other govt officials will be available at their respective panchayats along with requisite forms and draft electoral rolls for the guidance of the electors. The DC stressed about the uses of forms including Form PER 2A, PER 2B, PER 2C and PER 2D during the revision process.

He said that all the AEROs have been instructed to supervise the special camps to ensure 100% registration of all eligible and left out voters during Revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls so that no voter is left out.
