DHEW, Shopian organizes Awareness programme on Women Welfare schemes at Mujpathri

Shopian : The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Shopian today organized an awareness programme on Women Welfare schemes at Mujpathri, here. The team of officials also inculcated awareness on “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” among women.

The team, on the occasion dealt with various women welfare schemes which are in vogue including on Women Helpline 181, One Stop Centre for women, Tejaswini, Livelihood Scheme for women entrepreneurs, old age pension scheme for widows, Pension scheme for specially abled people, SMAS, Childline 1098 alongwith Juvenile Justice.

Team also noted the grievances of the women and assured them to provide help as soon as possible. The team of officials of the Hub, which is under the Administrative control of the Social Welfare department, are regularly conducting awareness and orientation programmes in villages, across the district.
