DHEW, MS Budgam conduct day-long Awareness at Buchroo Chadoora

Budgam : The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Mission Shakti in collaboration with SP Cell for Women and District Employment and Counseling Centre Budgam today conducted awareness cum outreach programme at Panchayat Buchroo Block Chadoora.

During the programme, the team raised awareness on Women and Child related schemes available at district level such as Mission Shakti, OSC, Shelter Home, Marriage Assistance Scheme, Child Care institution, ICPS, UDID, ISSS, IGNOPS, Old-age home, Drug Abuse among Youth, Financial Assistance schemes like Tejaswini, PMEGP, Maternity Benefit schemes like PMMVY, Janani Suraksha yojna, women safety laws, women helpline no. 181, child helpline number 1098 and various scholarships besides other women related schemes available in various Government Departments.

Continuing the programme, the team DHEW Budgam emphasized the importance of BBBP and stated that women can be empowered in a variety of ways. The programme was attended by AWW, Helpers, Sarpanch, panchayat representatives, local women and Adolescent girls.
