DDC Vikas Kundal reviews performance of PWD(R&B) sector in Rajouri

Balance work on SDH Nowshera & SDH Sunderbani to commence from Monday

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today took a comprehensive review of the performance of PWD(R&B) here at a meeting of the concerned officers. Threadbare discussion was held regarding progress under the District Capex Budget, languishing scheme, CRF, NABARD, BADP etc.

The DDC took a detailed review of physical and financial status of the schemes. The concerned officers apprised the meeting about to date status in this regard. While reviewing the progress of works under District Capex Budget 2022-23, it was informed that the work on all 9 schemes proposed under District Capex Budget was in progress.

Regarding the progress under the Languishing projects scheme, the meeting was apprised that 19 projects were approved in the current financial year, out of which the work on 08 schemes is complete.

The meeting was further informed that out of 05 CRF projects, the work on 02 would be completed by the end of the current financial year, while out of 09 BADP schemes, 4 have been completed in Nowshera Subdivision and 4 out of 7 schemes were completed in Sunderbani.

Taking a review of schemes under City and Towns, it was informed that against the target of 59.60 KM, a road length of 45 KM has been blacktopped. Seeking the status of the balance works in SDH Sunderbani and SDH Nowshera, it was apprised that the tenders for the balance work have been allotted and the work would commence on Monday.

The DDC asked the concerned officers to expedite the progress on the projects to ensure that they are completed within the already set deadlines. He also laid emphasis on close monitoring of the developmental works for maintaining quality and made it clear that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard.

It was also decided in a meeting that a team headed by DSEO Rajouri will conduct physical verification of the works completed under different heads in PWD (R&B) division Nowshera. The DDC also directed the concerned officers to resolve the bottlenecks hampering the developmental projects timely to ensure smooth execution of works.

Officers who attended the meeting were CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE PWD(R&B), Kamal Kishore; ExEn PWD(R&B) Nowshera, Vikram Singh and other concerned officers.
