DDC Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya reviews progress of work on Devika project

Directs for timely completion of Devika Project

Udhampur : In order to review the pace of on-going work of Devika Project, a meeting of officers of UEED and PMC was convened by District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today in his office chamber and progress of all 3 zones covering STP’s/IPS’s, sewerage network, Machine holes, IC chamber was reviewed.
During the meeting, Executive Engineer UEED apprised the District Development Commissioner about the latest zone wise progress of sewerage network and other components of the project and further apprised that STP 2&3 along with its IPS’s stand commissioned.
He added that all the major sewer lines have been laid and Household connections of zone 2 have been completed while as Household connections of zone 3 are in progress and shall be completed within next 10 days.
Executing agencies were directed by the DDC to gear up men and machinery and adhere to the timelines of ongoing works and complete within time bound manner. Executive Engineer UEED was directed to complete the ongoing work of Sewerage network, Machine holes and IC chambers of Zone -1 as per the given timeline and should be completed by ending July 2023. Executive Engineer UEED was asked to ensure demonstration of all three zones and will be presented by UEED in the next meeting.
