DDC Jammu interacts with participants of Basohli Painting product design training course

Jammu : District Development Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa today interacted with trainees of Basohli Painting product design training course being conducted at Govt. Polytechnic for Boys Jammu in coordination with Yakjah Reconciliation and Development Network UKRIGCRF.

As many as 12 candidates are being trained in product design in the Basohli Painting genre. The DDC took keen interest in their work and enquired from the participants about how they are going to develop the art and earn livelihood out of it for their self-sufficiency.

Participants were all enthusiastic about the training they are getting and its scope in designing good products under the aesthetic art of Basohli Painting. The District Development Commissioner also distributed certificates and mementos among the participants and advised them to practice their art to achieve better product designs and perfection.

Others present on the occasion were Additional District Development Commissioner, Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, Principal Polytechnic for Boys Jammu, Deputy Director, Handicraft along with representatives of Yakjah and MGNF from Kathua and Jammu.
