DDC Doda chairs Block Divas program at Assar

Doda : Reaching out to the public to resolve their issues at their doorsteps District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today visited Sub Division headquarter Assar and presided over Block divas program and listened to the grievances of the people in presence of a team of officers of different departments.The locals and PRIs projected a range of issues of public importance and demanded restoration of the old national highway stretch of Assar, preventive measures on the black spot at Assar NHW, display of list of PMAY, Awaa plus, AAY and BPL beneficiaries at prominent places, filling of the vacancies of staff in educational and health institutions, restoration of Assar and Chill Khul (Canal), documentation of pending land acquisition cases, payment of pending MGNREGA material liability, IAY cases, time bound disposal of representations presented at Block divas, adequate power supply during holy month of Ramadan, allotment of land to the landless beneficiaries of PMAY, restoration of defunct water pumps, execution of Marsoo water scheme, completion of Kashi Banjar road, engagement/ job for land donors, besides other important issues were also raised during the program for which the DDC assured time bound redressal.

With regard to payment of pending MGNREGA material liability, the DDC informed that the matter is under consideration of the Government. He directed the BDO to ensure due verification of all old unpaid IAY cases on immediate basis. Further the DDC directed the SDM to circulate all the issues of this Block Divas to the concerned authorities in next two days and get the action taken report so that the same shall be shared with the locals in the next block divas program. He further asked SDM to inform ACD, GM NHIDCL, Ex En PHE, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Ex En Irrigation, to attend the next Block divas program at Headquarter Assar to dispose of the grievances of the locals pertaining to their departments on the spot.Responding to the demand for restoration of Marsoo water supply sanctioned under languishing projects scheme, the DDC directed the Ex En PHE to submit the factual report.Besides, SDM Assar was directed to conduct the field enquiry by visiting the area in next few days.

With regard to black spots on Assar NHW, the DDC directed the SDM to conduct a tour with GM NHIDCL, Ex En PMGSY to identify the spots and submit a report on corrective measures. Besides he also directed them to frame a feasibility report on restoration of old Assar NHW stretch.The DDC assured the locals that all their genuine demands/issues have been noted down and shall be disposed of by the appropriate authorities in the upcoming days on priority. He further asked SDM Assar to ensure that all Panchayats shall be covered under Block divas and one Block Divas program be organised at Sub Division headquarter Assar in the last week of every month.Among others present during the program were BDC Chairperson Assar, SDM Assar, DSWO Doda, Tehsildar Assar, BDO Assar, BMO Assar, Sarpanches and other key officials of various line departments.Similar Block Divas proceedings were also witnessed in Malwana West of Gundana block, BDO office Bhadarwah, GHSS Nandana Phagsoo (Thathri) and SDM office Gandoh.
