DDC Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad, PD&SJ inspect ongoing work on new Court Complex at Bandipora

Bandipora : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad alongwith Principal District & Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Bandipora, Amit Sharma on Thursday inspected the ongoing work on new District Court Complex Project.The project is being executed by J&K Police Housing Corporation at an expected cost of Rs 35 crore approximately.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC said the new court complex is coming up with modern facilities, including a three-storey court building, lawyer’s chambers, library, residential quarters, and other modern facilities
He said there is ample space in the new complex for different courts including PD&SJ, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Munsiffs of civil courts, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Bank, Post Office and other courts besides facilities for lawyers and litigants.
The DDC said the aim of building such infrastructure is to make the arrangements such that litigants get timely justice and the disposal of cases gets quickly.He impressed upon the executing agency to speed up work on the project and ensure that it is completed within the stipulated time frame.
While reviewing the work culture of the judiciary, he asked the concerned for early and speedy disposal of the court cases.Later, a delegation of farmers who provided land for the complex against compensation met DDC and apprised him about problems faced by them.
He assured them that steps will be taken to ensure that no farmers are harmed by the project and all their genuine demands will be looked into.The visiting dignitaries were accompanied by JD Planning Bandipora Imtiyaz Ahmad, Tehsildar Bandipora Sheikh Tariq, besides other officers of judiciary, Police Housing Corporation and district administration.
