DC Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna inspects facilities at Gangera Fair Price Shop

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna today visited Gangera and inspected the functioning and facilities for the public at the local Fair Price Shop. During the visit, the DC assessed the quality of food grains provided to the consumers, checked availability of ration stock, mode of Distribution system etc.

The DC also interacted with consumers and sought their feedback on the working of the fair price shop. While checking the stock and supply position in the Fair Price shop, the DC asked the ration dealer to lift and distribute the food grains in time to avoid inconvenience to the rationees.

On the occasion, Local people of the area put forth their issues and demands. After patiently hearing them, the DC assured that all the issues would be resolved on priority basis.

Pertinent to mention here that, as part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Department of Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, New Delhi has undertaken the initiative to get the Food Distribution system assessment by senior government functionaries.
