DC Samba Abhishek Sharma Treks 11 KMs to reach remote Paddal village in Purmandal block

Listens to issues, grievances of locals at Weekly Block Diwas program

Samba : Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma conducted an extensive tour of Block Purmandal to engage with the locals and address their concerns.The tour commenced with an interactive session with youth at the Purmandal Play field, where the DC enlightened them about the perilous effects of drug addiction.
Furthermore, a cricket match was held to promote healthy competition among the youth as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.The Deputy Commissioner proceeded to hold the Block Diwas at Paddal village, which is considered the remotest village in the Purmandal block.
In an attempt to improve accessibility to governance, DC Sharma and his administration team trekked 11 kilometers to reach the locals of remotest village. They traversed via Devak River and listened intently to the issues raised by the villagers pertaining to road connectivity, health, electricity, and water.
The DC directed the officers to engage with the public and redress their grievances. He emphasized the significance of prioritizing the welfare of the people and ensuring that their concerns are addressed expeditiously.
Moreover, the District Forest Officer (DFO) was tasked with fencing the forest land to safeguard the environment and prevent encroachment.The visit of the Deputy Commissioner signifies the UT government’s commitment to promote transparency, accountability, and public participation in the governance process.
The initiative was well-received by the locals, who expressed their gratitude to the DC and his team for their efforts to resolve their concerns.
