DC Reasi, Charandeep Singh listens to public issues at Katra

Reasi : Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh conducted an extensive tour of Block Katra and held a public grievances redress camp at Government HSS to listen to the public grievances.The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ADDC, Jyoti Salathia; SDM Katra Abhishek Sharma; PO ICDS Renu Kumari; ACD Anirudh Rai; CEO KDA Preeti Sharma and other district officers of concerned departments.The DDC Member Katra, Chairman Municipal Committee Katra, Chairperson, BDC Katra, Vice Chairman, MC Katra among other PRI representatives were also present.At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the PRIs and locals, listened to their grievances and directed the concerned officers to ensure timely redress of genuine issues.The DC issued on-spot directions to the concerned departments for timely resolution of the projected issues. He assured the PRIs, public that all genuine demands would be considered on priority basis.

The main demands discussed at the event were clearance of material liability of MGNREGA, revised rates of Mining and opening of mining Blocks, status of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Sports stadium in Block Katra, review of Master Plan 2031, Construction of new Bus stand, engagement of locals in railway companies, requisition of CSR funds from the railway authorities, up-gradation of High School Kanjli, disengagement of education staff engaged in COVID duties from railway station.Charandeep Singh directed the concerned authorities for timely completion of the road works so that locals could get better road connectivity.Responding to the water related issues, the DC directed the concerned XEns for timely completion of work under JJM schemes so that the public could be benefitted and also directed the Rural Development department to focus on development of water bodies with active participation of PRIs.
