DC Reasi chairs Block Diwas meeting at Panassa; review progress of development works

Asks people to apply online to avail benefits of different Schemes

Reasi : Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today visited Panassa and convened a public grievances redressal camp under the weekly Block Diwas programme to assess the response of the public towards various developmental initiatives being implemented by the administration.

Deputy Commissioner listened to the grievances projected by PRIs and public and issued on the spot directions to the concerned quarters for early disposal of the same.ADDC Jyoti Salathia, ACD Anirudh Rai, CHO, CAHO, DSHO, LMO besides other district officers along with PRIs , BDOs, Sarpanchs and Panchs also attended the camp.

Earlier, the PRIs and Public put forth their problems. They demanded regulation of mining and rates of minor minerals, provision of Steel crates for protection of the Agriculture land, replacement of wooden electricity poles and old water supply pipelines, up-gradation of local irrigation Khul to overcome shortage in tale end villages , Road from Panasa to Dera Baba and Babbar, Dispensary at Panassa, meeting shortage of staff in education department etc.

After listening to Public issues, the DC addressed all the important issues and motivated the public to avail the benefits of different government schemes meant for their socio-economic development.

Multitude of issues related to Water, Power, Road, Transport, Ration, Nutrition, Education, Health were resolved on the spot after face to face deliberation with District Officers and for several other issues DDC fixed timeline for their resolution.

While reviewing the development works, Babila Rakwal directed the concerned authorities to complete the ongoing projects in the stipulated time frame.Moreover, the DC emphasized that all the Schemes are being implemented through Online mode and asked people to take the benefit of Online Services.

She also requested the general public to hoist the National flag at their homes to be part of ‘Har Ghar Jhanda’ campaign.On this occasion, the department of Agriculture handed over a vehicle to the beneficiary and Golden cards were also distributed by the Health department.
