DC Ramban Mussarat Islam hold meeting with concessionaire companies

Ramban : The Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today presided a meeting of concerned officers and representatives of all concessionaire companies engaged in the construction of national projects like NH44 and USBRL to review the labour laws and rights provided to the labourers engaged in the construction companies.

The ADC Harbans Lal Sharma, ACR Gias-ul-Haq, SDM, Banihal Zaheer Abass, SDM Gool Tanveer- Ul-Majid ALC, Dr. Sushant Gupta, Deputy Chief Engineer, Northern Railways, Sangaldan/Banihal, representative of NHAI, Chief General Manager, IRCON International Ltd.

Sangaldan/Banihal and other authorized signatories of all concessionaire companies were present in the meeting. The DC ascertains if a sufficient number of locals have been engaged in these projects and their rights under Labour laws are not being violated.

He directed all stakeholders and representatives of concerned companies to ensure that all labourers engaged by them are given benefits under Labour laws, Minimum Wages Act, Provident Fund and Insurance.

He directed the ALC to collect the list of all workers, especially the locals working in these projects and ensure all benefits.
