DC Ramban Mussarat Islam chairs District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee Meeting

Asks for speedy enrollment of children in 0-5 year age group

Ramban : Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam today convened a meeting of the District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee and reviewed the status of Aadhaar enrolment and further strengthening of Aadhaar seeding.

Director UIDAI Regional Office, Chandigarh, Sanjeev Mahajan and several other officers attended the meeting online, while ACR, Giasul-Haq, DSEO, Ganesh Kumar, CEO, Devanand, DIO, NIC Parshant Kumar, and other committee members attended the meeting in person.

The Deputy Commissioner discussed the strategy for timely Aadhaar enrollment of children in the 0-5 year age group. He directed the DPO, ICDS to ensure 100% coverage by mobilizing their Aadhaar enrollment staff and Kits available with them.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed all the stakeholder departments and agencies to motivate the residents to enroll children below 5 years for Aadhaar enrolment and to get Mandatory Biometric updates done (MBU) after attaining the age of 5 years and 15 years.

Pertinent to mention, the DC has already constituted a team of Informants and Notifiers to collect the data on the occurrence of vital events of Births, and Deaths as per the timeline. The Deputy Commissioner urged the people to get their children enrolled for Aadhaar Linked Birth registration at the delivery centres.

Meanwhile, the Director UIDAI, Chandigarh informed that to simplify aadhaar usage, an array of services have been made available on mAadhaar app which can be accessed on mobile phone 24*7.

He noted that the benefits of Aadhaar have not only led to monetary savings but also stimulated responsible behavior, transparency, and faster delivery of benefits of various schemes of the Government. The Aadhaar authentication and Aadhaar offline verification can be made by the use of QR code.
