DC Poonch reviews progress of land acquisition/requisition/de-requisition cases of defense

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet, today chaired a joint meeting of Revenue and Army authorities here in the conference hall of the DC office to review the cases related to defense land.

The meeting also discussed cases related to rent of defense land and passed directions to all the concerned. In some cases, revenue documents were required by the concerned army authorities before carrying out joint demarcation/spot verification.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all tehsildars to provide revenue documents to army authorities / ADEO complete in all respects within a week’s time. The HQA was directed to issue a demarcation/ joint verification plan for early disposal of land related cases.

Regarding the demarcation of mine areas tehsildars were directed to demarcate the land by geo- referencing. During the meeting, the army representatives raised issues of violation of Works of Defence Act (WODA)/guidelines.

The chair viewed the matter seriously and directed SDMs and tehsildars to strictly ensure that no such violation takes place in future beside removal of violations, if any. Several cases of delayed rental compensations were also brought regarding which appropriate directions were issued to  the concerned for speedy disposal of the cases.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner ( Revenue), Poonch Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, SDMs Mendhar and Surankote, Lt.Col. Parikshit, Lt Col. Sanjay Kumar, Tehsildar Haveli, Ajnum Bashir Khan Khattak, Head Quarter Assistant, Jahangir Hussain, Tehsildar Mandi, Shazad Latief Khan, Tehsildar Surankote, Tehsildar Balakote,Tehsildar  Mankote Reps of ADEO Rajouri and all naib tehsildars.
