DC Poonch discusses activity schedule for celebration of Good Governance Week

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet on Saturday chaired a meeting of officers to review the preparation ahead of ‘Good Governance Week’ celebrations being held from December 19 to Dec 25 under Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur, 2022.

The weeklong celebration of Good Governance aims at redressal of public grievances besides improving service delivery titled “Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur.” On the occasion, he took a detailed review from all the concerned officers about the preparations and gave detailed instructions to the officers for successful observance of the week.

The departments were directed to implement all the government schemes well in time and ensure disposal of pending grievances on various portals including IGRAMS.

He also directed to organise block level camps for registration of beneficiaries under PMJAY, issuance of disability certificates, distribution of Land Book , Water quality tests, online registration of unemployed youth, and spread awareness among the youth about MUMKIN, TEJASWINI Scheme etc.

He further called for conducting swachhta drive, Nasha Mukat Bharat Campaign, Fitness camps, saturation of aadhaar seeding, and promotion of self employment schemes among youth with special focus on entrepreneurship.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the departments to nominate a Nodal Officers for weekly reporting during Good Governance week. He also directed the district officers to dispose of all pending grievances during the period.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tahir Mustafa Malik; Additional Superintendent of Police, Mushim Ahmed; Gen Manager DIC, Dr. Zakir Hussain; Chief Planning Officer, Maqsood Ahmed; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi; Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain Shah;DFO, Suresh Manda; CMO, Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; SDM Mendhar, Jahangir Ahmed; Chief Executive Officer Municipality, Varinder Singh; DIO, Narinder Singh; DSWO, Mohinder Paul; DPO, Narinder Mohan Suri; AD fisheries besides other concerned officers were present.
