DC Kupwara Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray inaugurates Blood Donation camp at SDH Kupwara

Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray today inaugurated blood donation camp at Sub District Hospital Kupwara which was organized by J&K Yateem Foundation Unit Kupwara in collaboration with the Health Department.

The DC himself donated one pint of blood on the occasion. On the occasion, Dr Sagar received feedback from the concerned officers regarding the functioning of the blood bank established in the hospital.

He was informed that there is a capacity of 500 pints in the blood bank and almost 200 pints remain available. He was further informed that as many as 50 donors have registered themselves to donate their blood in the blood camp.

The DC said that blood donation is a social service and people, especially youth should come forward to donate blood which helps in saving precious lives. He appreciated volunteers who donated their blood and also congratulated the stakeholders for conducting the blood donation camp for a better cause.

Medical Superintendent SDH Kupwara, Abdul Gani Dar; DIO Kupwara, Mohammad Yousuf Mir; Tehsildar Kupwara, Sahibzada Niyaz Ahmad; besides, doctors, paramedics and volunteers were present on the occasion.
