DC Kathua Rahul Pandey reviews progress of projects being executed by PWD (R&B), JKPCC

Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey, chaired a meeting here in the conference hall of DC Office Complex to review the progress of projects being executed by PWD (R&B) and JKPCC.

The DC took a comprehensive review of works taken up by the PWD under different schemes viz. UT & District CAPEX, CRF, NABARD, City & Town, NFB, SSY etc besides taking appraisal of the latest physical and financial progress of projects being taken up by JKPCC in the district.

The DC directed XENs of Kathua and Basohli divisions to speed up the execution of works in the respective jurisdictions so as to achieve 100% of the targets within the stipulated time frame.

Regarding the issue of disrupting road connectivity in snow bound areas of the district, the DC directed XEN concerned to ensure roads remained operational even during inclement weather conditions.

While taking review of JKPCC schemes, the DC stressed for taking concerted efforts to remove bottlenecks and ensure completion of vital projects of public importance at the earliest.

The DC also emphasized on prioritizing the works under CRF, City and Town Programme besides expediting the payment in case of completed works. He called for achieving physical and financial progress in every scheme sanctioned before the end of the current financial year and not to carry forward any liabilities for next fiscal.
