Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting to review the progress of projects being executed by Border Road Organisation in the district. While reviewing the ongoing work of Dayalachak-Challan, Ramkote road, the DC directed BRO authorities to furnish the funds in lieu of utility shifting to the concerned departments to facilitate speedy construction works.
The DC also took a detailed review of Rajbagh-Haria Chack road. It was informed that land acquisition and shifting of utilities has already been taken up. He directed XENs of PWD, PDD, and PHE to conduct a joint survey so as to ascertain the cost of utility shifting of their respective assets.
It was also given out in the meeting that the process of land acquisition for Tarnah-III and approach road to Bagh Bridge on Parole-Koreepannu-Rajpura has already been carried out and the shifting of utilities was also being taken up with concerned departments.
The DC further directed BRO authorities to conduct monthly meetings at Sub Division Level with stakeholder departments to resolve issues right at the initial stage. The meeting was attended by CPO, DFO and Engineers of PWD Div Kathua, Basohli, ACD, and other concerned officers.
