DC Anantnag Dr Basharat Qayoom inspects functioning of 24×7 Control Rooms in district

Anantnag : In the late night tour of Anantnag town, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom today inspected the functioning of several control rooms as well as KPDCL transformer repair workshop at Lazibal.

The DC inspected the functioning of the Control Room established at Town Hall Anantnag by the Municipal Council. Interacting with on duty employees, he was informed that calls regarding water logging and other issues are being attended to and necessary men and machinery is being deployed for convenience of the public.

At Lazibal, Executive Engineer KPDCL informed the DC that transformer repairs are being completed without delay. The DC stressed that any damaged transformers must be replaced within stipulated timelines set and directed the concerned to ensure availability of buffer stock.

He said that workers may be engaged in double shifts to ensure public does not face inconvenience. At PUKAAR control room, Dak Bungalow, the DC inspected the grievances received and the action taken thereof.

He was informed that grievances are being forwarded to concerned departments and necessary action is being communicated to the aggrieved. He said that due to inclement weather, the employees need to remain alert and respond to grievances without delay.

He also inspected the snow clearance preparedness of the Mechanical Division and was informed that men and machinery are on alert and clearance will be taken up without delay. The DC was accompanied by ADC Anantnag, CEO Anantnag and other officials.
