Chairperson DDC Ramban kick-starts construction of sports infrastructure at Gool

Ramban : Chairperson District Development Council, Ramban, Dr Shamshad Shan today kick-started construction of sports infrastructure at Gool.The DDC Chairperson said that the sports projects are being executed by the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council with an estimated cost of Rs. 1 crore to facilitate the youth of the area for various disciplines of games including Cricket, Volleyball and Badminton courts.

The land for the sports project has been donated by the locals, she said and added that with the completion of these ambitious sports projects and ongoing indoor stadium, the youth of the area would get improved sports infrastructure, which would go a long way in channelizing their energy in the right directions.

The Chairperson said that the issue with regard to completion of building of Degree College Gool has already been taken up with the concerned authorities. The under-execution developmental projects of public importance in the district would be completed on priority basis, she added.
