Agriculture Department organises farmer’s awareness camp on PMFME

Poonch : A farmer’s awareness camp was organized by Department of Agriculture Sub Division Mendhar under PMFME (Prime Minister Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises) in upper Dharana Block Mendhar.

As many as 100 farmers attended the camp and 4 farmers were identified for setting up their units. Marketing Inspector Horticulture Marketing, Horticulture Development Officer, Mendhar, SMS Agriculture, AEO Zone Dharana organized the camp. AEO Zone Chhatral also participated in the camp.

Marketing inspector Manzoor Hussain said that the unemployed youths can set up their own Food processing Units like oil extractions, bottling unit, Bread making unit, Tomato catchup unit, Atta Chakki along with poultry and Cattle feed unit under PMFME scheme by availing facilities like 35% subsidy maximum upto Rs. 10 lakh, Easy Bank loan upto 90% of cost for Machinery and Technical Civil Works.

PMFME scheme has convergence with AIF which has 3% interest subvention and credit Grantee under CGTMSE Scheme for Loan up to Rs. 2 crore.
