Listens to grievances of PRIs, locals at Patshalla, Nali

Kishtwar : With an aim to reach out to the people to redress their grievances, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar Sham Lal today visited Block Bunjwah of district Kishtwar. He interacted and listened to the grievances of PRIs and locals at Patshalla and Nali areas in presence of BDC chairperson, Maryama Begum, DDC member, Aamina Banoo; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Akhter Hussain Qazi; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch; District Social welfare Officer Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Zakir Hussain; Chief Horticulture Officer Mushtaq Ahmed Wani; Tehsildar Bounjwah Irshad Ahmad Bhat and BDO Anees Malik besides other concerned Officer and PRIs.The locals of Patshalla, Mori, Kewa at Patshalla projected their grievances and issues. They demanded adequate water supply, blacktopping of road from Dunadi to Bunjwah on fast pace, replacement of rotten wooden poles, Panchayat Ghar at Tipri, restoration of Eidgah damaged due to flood, immediate start of work on road from Patashalla to Girsal proposed under PMGSY, High School at Mori, repair of School building at Patshalla, construction of link road for Mori village, besides inclusion of genuine left out beneficiaries in Awas Plus.The delegation led by PRIs also demanded the expeditious work on the Dunadi-Bunjwah, Kewapull-Kither, Tipri-Patnazi, Patnazi-Kither roads for their completion before the onset of winters.

Demarcation of acquired land for PHC Nali, construction of community Hall at Bunjwah, road from Nali to Deli Pattan to provide basic amenities to the locals was also raised during the interaction.Shortage of staff at Health PHC Nali, adequate space/accommodation at PHC Nali and posting of Gynecologist in the PHC were among other demands projected by the locals.After giving patient hearing to the demands and issues raised by the locals, the ADDC assured them that each point has been noted down by the concerned officers and action shall be taken accordingly to redress the demands.On the occasion, the ADDC Kishtwar also educated the participants about COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and urged them to voluntarily go for vaccination.He also appealed to the locals of the area to register themselves for Golden Card under SEHAT scheme so that eligible beneficiaries may avail the benefit of the scheme.Regarding water scarcity, he directed the concerned officers of the area to look into the issue and also educate the public about the Jal Jeevan Mission -Har ghar Nal Se Jal scheme. He added that under the scheme work is in progress and soon water supply will be regularised to the needy villages.He also directed CHO and CAO to hold awareness programmes in the area in order to double the farmers’ income as this area has a tremendous scope of Horticulture and agriculture.Meanwhile, the ADDC also inspected the progress on the Dunadi- Bunjwah road work and directed the Engineers to speed up the pace of work for its timely completion.
