ADDC Kishtwar chairs Weekly meeting to review progress of Jal Jeevan Mission

Kishtwar : Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar, Sham Lal today chaired the weekly meeting to discuss the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission.The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, District Forest Officers of Marwah and Kishtwar, Assistant Executive Engineers, I.E.C District Coordinator, Team Leader for Third-Party Inspection, District Coordinator for ISA activities, and Junior Engineers.
The meeting delved into various aspects, including the status of tendering and allotment of works, the progress of ongoing schemes component-wise, forest clearances, water quality and testing, as well as the coverage of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) and the conduction of ISA activities.
The Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Kishtwar provided an update of all ongoing activities under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The chair was informed that out of 129 schemes, 95 schemes have been allotted, and work has commenced on 62 , while 71 schemes out of 107 have been uploaded on the Parvesh portal for forest clearances.
He further informed that against a monthly target of 1200, 650 FHTCs have been uploaded.In light of the discussion, the ADDC Kishtwar issued a slew of directions to concerned officers. He instructed to allot the remaining schemes promptly, with fixed timelines for the completion of ongoing schemes.
