ADC Kupwara Ghulam Nabi Bhat chairs DLAMC meeting

Asks officers to show added dedication for completion of targets

Kupwara : On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray, District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) today met here under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat.

The meeting held threadbare discussion with regard to its functioning, progress and achievements in the district. The ADC received feedback and updated status of the achievements. It was informed that Aadhaar generation for the age groups of 0- 5, 5-18 and above 18 has reached to 761604 against the estimated population of 915972, constituting 83.15%.

It was further informed that as many as 45 Aadhaar enrolment kits are working in the district in various fields including ICDS, School education department ( SSA). The ADC also reviewed the progress of Mandatory Biometric Updates and also discussed salient features of Aadhaar.

The UIDAI initiative to strengthen resident’s Aadhar and its related activities were also reviewed in the meeting. The ADC also reviewed the monitoring process of activities at Aadhar Enrolment centers and compliance of related grievances.

Addressing the meeting, the ADC asked concerned officers to make added efforts for Aadhaar saturation in all age groups and mandatory biometric update of children. He also directed for document updation of residents who have not updated Aadhar in the last 10 years.

Among others, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, District Social Welfare Officer, DSP DAR and other concerned attended the meeting.
