Special events and activities every weekend at the Sheikh Zayed Festival

Abu Dhabi : The Sheikh Zayed Festival’s daily pavilions and events are a great attraction for Emirati citizens, residents and their families, along with tourists of all nationalities who visit cultural, touristic and entertainment attractions in the UAE. The Festival has dedicated a series of special activities for the weekend designed to appeal to all age groups in a welcoming family setting from 4pm to 1am.Among the prominent weekly activities is the spectacular fireworks display and the cultural competitions, including the H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival which offers visitors the chance to win a car in each of the five lucky during the period of the event. Visitors can easily participate by visiting the Festival and filling in the competition coupon, placing it in the box provided for competition draws. The first draw will take place on December 18th 2021, and the last one on March 31st 2022.The Festival is packed with recreational areas that allow adults and the young ones to have fun over the weekend, including the children’s Funfair City with its wide range of rides and games, including the exciting rollercoaster, Ferris wheel, dancing horses roundabout and the tower of swings. All games and rides are designed and equipped according to the highest standards of security and safety. Children can also have fun at the Crazy Car area, driving mini cars and enjoying a great time with their parents and friends.

Next to Entrance 3 of the Festival, there is the Al Forsan Sports Resort zone, which includes exciting sports events for all age groups, including karting, equestrian activities, archery, rope jumping, zip lines, virtual driving experience for cars and aircrafts and a climbing wall, alongside many other thrilling activities.As always, the Festival welcomes visitors to its rich list of activities, events and performances, most notably the Emirates Fountain shows, which has the privilege of an attractive location right at the center of the Festival grounds to attract visitors’ attention with music and laser performances held every 45 minutes.The Sheikh Zayed Festival is an important cross-roads of different civilizations, with the pavilions of participating countries showcasing a variety of products representing many of the cultural and traditional characteristics for which they are famous, which visitors can purchase as souvenirs. This is all in addition to the folkloric and heritage performances that roam the Festival pavilions to showcase participating Arab and international civilizations, heritage and various activities, making the Festival a world-class international artistic carnival while reflecting the UAE’s message of openness, coexistence, peace, human brotherhood, tolerance and human and cultural convergence.In order to provide as many amenities as possible for families and individual visitors, the Festival also features the Miracle Garden and Glow Garden, offering everyone the chance to enjoy these two new attractions added this year to the Festival’s activities.
