President Ram Nath Kovind pays homage to Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed

New Delhi : President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday paid homage to former President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed on his birth anniversary. Kovind paid floral tributes in front of a portrait of Ahmed at the Rashtrapati Bhavan itself, a communique from the Rashtrapati Bhavan said. Ahmed, the fifth President of the country, had occupied office from August 24, 1974, till February 11, 1977. He was born on May 13, 1905, and passed away on February 11, 1977, while in office.
