Children evacuated from Manipur call on CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at New Delhi

New Delhi : Students who were stranded at Manipur reached Delhi on Monday late evening and called on Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at Himachal Sadan, New Delhi and thanked him for the noble gesture.
It was due to personal intervention of Chief Minister that the Himachali children who were pursuing higher studies at Manipur were evacuated through a special flight Monday morning from Imphal to Kolkata and thereafter to Delhi.
The Chief Minister had borne the entire travelling expenses from his pocket to bring the children back from strife torn State.Earlier, Education Minister Rohit Thakur and Rural Development Minister Anirudh Singh received the students yesterday late evening at Himachal Bhawan, New Delhi.
