Chandigarh : Haryana Home Minister, Anil Vij said that now technocrats will be depute in the cyber police station of the state so that cyber-crime can be curbed completely. He today directed the police officers to keep at least one cyber related technocrat in every district on deputation from other departments.

Apart from this, Police Public Committees will be formed by November 30, 2022.Sh. Vij was presiding over a review meeting of senior officers of Home and Police Department here today.During the meeting, Haryana Police Rules were also discussed and the Minister was apprised that a committee has been constituted in this regard, which is taking action on these rules and the propsal of these rules will be submitted to the government by December 31, 2022 for further action.

**Create an environment for lane driving in Haryana and implement it strictly – Vij**

The Home Minister directed the officers that there should be lane driving for heavy vehicles on the highway and heavy vehicle drivers should strictly follow the traffic rules. On this, the officers of the police department said that about 1.5 lakh challans have been imposed on heavy vehicle drivers who were not following the lane driving.

He added that various causalities can be stopped if everyone follows the rules. He said that every year more than 5 thousand people lost their lives on the highways due to non-compliance with lane driving. Sh. Vij directed the police officers to continue this campaign.

**Police Public Committees will be formed by November 30- Vij**

In the meeting, Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij directed the officers that the Police Public Committees should be re-constituted, random people of the city, including people from various institutions and organizations, should be included in these committees.

On this, the officers of the Police Department informed the Home Minister that by November 30, Police Public Committees will be reconstituted in all the districts. Dial 112 service was also reviewed in the meeting and it was informed that the feedback of this service is highly appreciable from the people.

It was said in the meeting that due to this service, a decrease in crime is also being witnessed.The Home Minister directed the officers to speed up the work of installing CCTV cameras in crowded areas. On which the officers apprised that mapping of all such CCTV cameras will be done by December 15, 2022.

Apart from this, Sh. Vij said that directions will be issued to install CCTV cameras in all the buildings, hospitals and health centres of the health department. Apart from this, the creation of CCTV portal was also discussed and directions were given to the police officers to fix rules, criteria, specifications for installation of CCTVs in the premises of various departments and orders to send a proposal in this regard to the government.

Improvement, upgradation and capacity enhancement of the Forensic Science Laboratory were discussed in the meeting and the Home Minister was informed that about 13,302 cases are related to it and will be disposed of by June 30, 2023.

Police officers informed Sh. Vij that cooperation of forensic labs of Chandigarh and Delhi is also being taken to solve these cases. While directing the officers, Sh. Vij said that efforts should be made to start courses related to forensic science in the colleges and universities of Haryana.

On this, the officers said that the forensic science courses running in technical colleges and universities of the state will be recognized by Gujarat’s Forensic University. Similarly, forensic courses will be started soon in Gurugram University. Sh. Vij directed the officers to initiate the formation of an FSL wing in the Prosecution Department as well.

*Police officers should review women’s police stations- Vij*

In the meeting, the Home Minister directed the police officers to review the women’s police stations established in the state and said that a report should also be submitted to him regarding how many cases have been registered in the women’s police stations and since when they are pending.

**New smart cards will be issued for arms license – Vij**

Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that now new smart cards will be issued for arms licenses in Haryana, directions have been given to the officers in this regard. He said that such licenses should be issued in the same manner as driving licenses are being given.

**SPs and CPs should hear the public grievances every day from 11 am to 12 noon – Vij**

The Home Minister directed the officers to issue directions to the Superintendents of Police and Commissioners of Police of all the districts to hear the public grievances every day from 11 am to 12 noon. This will help to solve the issues at a faster pace.

In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Sh. T.V.S.N Prasad, Director General of Police, Sh. P.K. Agrawal, Additional Director General of Police, CID, Sh. Alok Mittal, Additional Director General of Police (Crime), Sh. O.P. Singh, Additional Director General of Police (Telecom), Sh. A S Chawla and other senior officers were present.
