Panchkula : Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that few Covid cases are being reported these days. If the cases will increase in the coming days, the state government has made all necessary arrangements to deal with the situation. He urged the people not to create panic in the crisis-like situation if the cases arise.

For diagnosis, Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) machines are made available in every district in the state. While taking stock of the arrangements being made by the state government to deal with COVID-19 situation during a mock drill conducted at Civil Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula today, he virtually inquired about the data of health facilities and equipment available in the hospitals of all the districts in the state.

While holding inspection of Flu Corner, ICU, Covid Ward and PSA plants established in the hospital, Sh. Vij said that as per the directions of the Central Government, mock drills were conducted across the country today. The main objective of conducting this mock drill is to check the facilities and equipment available in the hospitals to deal with the possibility of Covid-19 crisis in future.

He also inquired about health facilities such as RTPCR machine, PSA plant, beds and manpower etc. available in all the hospitals across the state through the online portal.He said that at present 26 RT PCR machines are functional in 22 districts of the state. Presently 101 PSA plants are functional in the state.

There is no shortage of oxygen in the state. Adequate number of oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators are available in the hospitals to deal with every situation. On this occasion, Sh. Vij released the annual calendar of National Health Mission (NHM), 2023. Besides this, he also released TB Calendar-2023, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for TB Preventive Treatment, TB Champion Stories and Monthly TPT-cum-Community Support Bulletin.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Smt. G. Anupama, Managing Director of National Health Mission, Sh. Prabhjot Singh, Director General Health Services, Dr. Sonia Trikha Khullar, Director Health Services, Dr. J. S Punia, Civil Surgeon, Panchkula, Dr. Rajeev Kapoor and other officials of the health department were also present.
