Home Minister Anil Vij visited the media center at Haryana Civil Secretariat

Chandigarh : Haryana Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today visited the newly inaugurated media Centre at the Haryana Civil Secretariat. Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal also accompanied him.

Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij appreciated the high-tech facilities that have been made in the centre.He said that various technological initiatives have been brought for quick dissemination of information to the masses.

While realizing the same, high tech facilities have been ensured in this centre to ease the work of media persons.Since we have a democratic system, the responsibility of media, the fourth pillar of democracy towards reporting authentic news becomes very important, said Sh. Vij.

He said that the importance and role of media are increasing continuously in the present times. No society, government, class, institution, group and people can progress without the support of the media.The Home Minister said that the State Government has started many facilities for the journalists so that they continue to discharge their duty fearlessly.

Accredited media journalists have been given bus pass facilities. Besides this, pension and insurance facilities are also being provided to them.Notably, this morning, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal inaugurated the newly renovated hi-tech media centre located on the eighth floor.
