2 held in road rage, murder case in Gurugram

The police have also recovered the deceased’s mobile phone on the information of the accused from the incident spot,” ACP (crime) Preet Pal Sangwan said.During questioning, the accused revealed that they had killed the victim with bricks and thrashed him brutally over a minor scuffle. They had then fled the spot, leaving the critically injured victim lying on the expressway.According to the police, the victim was identified as Pankaj of Mahendragarh district in Haryana.
He was residing in a rented accommodation along with his friend Ajay (26) at Rajiv Nagar in Gurugram. Pankaj had come to Gurugram a week before the incident in search of a job.When the duo reached near Jharsa village service lane on the Delhi-Jaipur expressway the petrol of their bike had run out so they started looking for a petrol pump and started pushing the bike along.”When the victims reached a park which was located a few meters away from the petrol pump on the expressway at around 2.30 am, both the culprits came on a scooty approached the victims, threatened both of them and started beating both of them without any reason,” the police had said.The accused beat Pankaj mercilessly and slapped and punched him on his face, stomach and private parts.Later on September 16, due to internal injuries, Pankaj had acute pain in his private parts and he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.In connection with the incident, an FIR had been registered against unknown culprits under the relevant section of the IPC including murder at Sector-40 police station.
