To deal with crimes against women, 33 new women police stations and 239 women help desks have been set up in the state - Anil Vij

Ambala : Haryana Home and Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that the state government is committed to increase the number of women police personnel in Haryana Police to 15 percent.

In this series, 24 companies of “Durga Shakti Rapid Action Force” have been deployed for the security of school-college going girls and other women to provide security to women. He said that 33 new women police stations and 239 women help desks have been set up in the state to deal with crimes against women.

He said this while giving an auspicious message to the people present during the 74th Republic Day celebrations at the Police Line Complex in Ambala city today. Sh. Vij unfurled the national flag and took the salute of the parade.

Earlier, the Home Minister also paid homage to the martyrs by visiting the Shaheed Samarak at Ambala City Police Line. He said that today we are celebrating 74th Republic Day and on this occasion of happiness, he extended hearty greetings and best wishes to everyone.

He said that on this day in 1950, our constitution came into force. Because of this constitution, we all got the right to equal justice, freedom and equality. He said that a long story of sacrifice of our patriots is associated with Republic Day.

Many freedom fighters like Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Chandrashekhar Azad and Udham Singh fought long to get freedom for the country.

*Significant improvement in sex ratio*
Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that the state government is committed to the safety and empowerment of women. As a result of the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ programme, the rate of sex ratio at birth is improving significantly in the state.

*Zero FIR introduced*
The Home Minister said that the F.I.R. there is no problem in getting registered; now the Zero FIR system is implemented. The concept has been introduced. Now in any police station F.I.R. can be registered, irrespective of where the incident took place.

The Trakea bar-coding system was commissioned at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Police Complex, Madhuban. This system is fully computerized.

Haryana is the first state in the country to use this type of system from the police station level to the forensic lab. Haryana Police has been awarded 5 times for sending passport verification before the stipulated time period.

Approval has been given to open 5 police stations in Ambala range and one new police station at Moonak in district Karnal. To increase the sense of police security among the people, in view of this, 600 vehicles have been added to the police fleet under 112 toll free numbers.

Two vehicles have been provided in every police station, as soon as the information is received on 112, the police vehicle reaches the spot in 9 minutes 13 seconds.
*Expanding ‘Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’, Chirayu Yojana was implemented*

Health Minister Anil Vij said that we have implemented Chirayu Yojana by expanding ‘Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’ to provide free treatment facilities to more poor people.
Under Chirayu Yojana, about 13 lakh new families with an annual income of less than Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand have got the facility of free treatment. Haryana is the first state in the country, where Hepatitis-C and B medicines are being provided free of cost.

Haryana has got first place in the country in Anemia Mukt Bharat programme. Nirogi Haryana Yojana has also been started for health check-ups of Antyodaya families. Haryana is the first state in the country, where 500 types of medicines and 319 types of operations are being done free of cost.

*The revolution of 1857 first started from Ambala Cantonment*
Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that the revolution of 1857 first started from Ambala Cantonment. Its spark was raised from Ambala on May 10, 1857, nine hours before the revolution started in Meerut. Gradually this spark spread across the country.

The spark that arose from here not only put an end to the rule of the East India Company by taking the form of the first freedom struggle, but later on created such a mass movement, on the basis of which we were able to overthrow the British rule in 1947.

In memory of those unsung heroes associated with the revolution of 1857, a huge Shaheed Samarak is being constructed at GT Road Ambala Cantonment at a cost of Rs 400 crore.
*Haryana State played an important role in the freedom struggle*

The Home Minister said that the ex-gratia amount for the soldiers of Haryana and para-military forces who were martyred during the war has been increased from Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh. Similarly I.E.D. The ex-gratia amount has been increased from Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh even in case of martyrdom in blast.

The ex-gratia amount for soldiers and para-military forces personnel injured during encounters with terrorists or in any other incident has been increased to Rs 35 lakh, Rs 25 lakh and Rs 15 lakh on the basis of disability. We have given government jobs to 365 dependents of martyrs, he said.

*Haryana is the first state in the country, where educated panchayats*
He said that Haryana is the first state in the country, where there are educated panchayats. Haryana is also the first state in the country, which has constituted the Inter-District Council for maximum participation of Panchayati Raj Institutions in governance.

For the empowerment of Panchayati Raj Institutions, all the schemes of the Rural Development Department have been transferred to the District Councils. The Panchayat has also been given the powers to open or not open liquor vends in the village.

Similarly, in order to strengthen the urban bodies by decentralizing the powers to all the municipal bodies, we have got the mayor elected directly, he said.
*Decentralized the powers of Panchayati Raj institutions*

Home Minister Anil Vij said that digital data of 6197 gram panchayats is available on ‘Gram Darshan Portal’ to make rural areas digital. Villages are being made Lal Dora free to give the villagers the ownership rights of their property.

We have decentralized the powers of Panchayati Raj Institutions. The amount of all types of social security pension has been increased to Rs 2500 per month in the state. Apart from this, workers above 60 years of age are also being given a monthly pension of Rs 2750.

He also said that the prime minister’s aim is that India emerges as a developed country, for which continuous work is being done. By the year 2047, India will stand in the category of developed countries.

*Link social security pension with family ID card*
The Home Minister said that under the ‘Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchaan’ program, Parivar Pehchan Patra are being made for all families and social security pension has been linked to the family ID card by the state government.

Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana’, the poorest families will be identified and their annual income will be made at least Rs 1.80 lakh so that more and more families can get the benefits of schemes related to poor welfare.

*Haryana is the first state in the country to purchase 14 crops at the minimum support price*
He said that the ‘Meri Fasal-Mera Byora’ portal has been started to facilitate the purchase of crops in the state. Haryana is the first state in the country to procure 14 crops at minimum support price and 21 horticulture crops have been included in the ‘Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana’.

*Nearly 6 lakh tablets given to students free of cost*
He said that a total of 72 new government colleges have been opened in the state in the last 8 years, out of which 31 are for girls. About 6 lakh tablets have been given free of cost to the students of class 10th and 12th studying in government schools.

New National Education Policy is being implemented in the state to provide education related to culture and employment. The Super-100 program is being run for our youth to be leaders in competitive examinations.

It is a matter of pride that the students who get coaching under this have become IITians. Getting ranks in merit in national level exams like Mains and NEET, he said.
*Started the facility of ‘single registration’ for jobs to the youth*

He said that the facility of ‘single registration’ has been started for youth from repeatedly applying for jobs and paying fees. Provision has been made for ‘Common Eligibility Test’ to get rid of repeated competitive exams.

Haryana Skill Employment Corporation has been formed to stop the contract practice in government services related to outsourcing in the state.

*Haryana players secured first position in the country by winning 137 medals in ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2021’*
He said that our players have brought laurels to the country and state by winning medals in Olympic and other international competitions. Last year, in the ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2021’, our players secured the first position in the country by winning 137 medals.

Haryana gives the highest cash prize in the country to medal winning sportspersons. Haryana is the first state in the country to give an advance incentive of Rs 5 lakh for the preparation of Olympics.

Along with this, a provision has also been made to give Rs 2.50 lakh as endowment to Asian, Para Asian and Commonwealth players. In order to ensure employment for sportspersons, 550 new posts have also been created in the sports department.

*Ambala’s development*
Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that the present state government has left no stone unturned in the development of Ambala and new dimensions of development are being established continuously here.

On this day, the Haryana Government has given a special bonanza to Ambala. An amount of Rs 100 crore has been released to farmers as compensation for their land under the Ring Road project.
On this occasion, Home and Health Minister Anil Vij honored the officers, employees and those who did excellent work in the field of social service by giving letters of appreciation. Home and Health Minister Anil Vij honored all these winning participants by giving certificates and mementos.

Home and Health Minister Anil Vij gave 10 lakhs as a gift to the participants of the program and declared a holiday tomorrow i.e. 27th January for the participants performing in the program.

On this occasion, ADGP Law and Order Ashwinder Singh Chawla, Mayor Mrs. Shakti Rani Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Priyanka Soni, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prashant Pawar, Superintendent of Police Jashandeep Singh Randhawa along with other officers and dignitaries were present.
