Haryana Police players performed outstanding in World Police Games: Anil Vij

Players are performing vigorously in international competitions due to better sports facilities in the state- Anil Vij

Chandigarh : Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that due to better sports facilities in the state, players of Haryana are bringing laurels to the State by performing stellar in international competitions.

In this episode, eight players of Haryana Police won the competition by winning ten medals in the World Police and Fire Games held in Rotterdam, Netherlands.Home Minister honoured players including Gurugram Joint Police Commissioner.

The Home Minister honoured the winning sportspersons with medals at his residence in Ambala today and called for similar performance in future also. He said that world class sports facilities and better environment are available for the players in Haryana due to which the players are able to perform vigorously in national and international competitions.

On this occasion, he was apprised that KK Sindhu, retired IPS from Haryana Police won silver medal in golf event in the competition. Similarly, Joint Police Commissioner, Sh. Kulwinder Singh won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal in golf.

In other competitions, DSP, Sh. Pradeep Khatri won silver medal in wrestling, while Sub Inspector, Suman Kundu won gold in wrestling, ASI, Ms. Monika fetched silver in boxing, Head Constable, Sh. Santosh won a gold in wrestling, Head Constable, Ms. Sunita silver in boxing and Constable, Sh. Sanjeet won a silver medal in boxing.

Haryana Police 11 member team won 10 medals
The World Police and Fire Games were held from July 22-31, 2022 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. In this competition, 11 member teams from Haryana Police participated in different events. In the competition 8 out of 11 players performed brilliantly and were able to secure 10 medals.
