FDA suspends 22 drug sale licenses for different periods for various violations : Anil Vij

Chandigarh : Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Anil Vij informed that the Food and Drug Administration Department (FDA) has suspended 22 drug sales licenses for different periods for various violations, including 19 retail sale drug licenses and three wholesale sale, including pharmaceutical licenses.

Giving more details in this regard, Sh. Vij said that these drug sale licenses were suspended for RP being absent, absence or non maintenance of Schedule H register, non labelling of expired medicine with ‘not for sale’ and printed signatures instead of Authorized Signature of RP.

He said that under the wholesale drug license, license of M/s Shadwell Pharma Pvt. Ltd., Officers Colony, Kala Amb, Narayangarh, has been suspended for 5 days. Similarly, wholesale drug sales license of M/s Mittal Pharma, Karnal Road, Anandh of Karnal Zone has been suspended for 3 days while wholesale drug sales license of M/s Man Mark Pharma, New Sabzi Mandi, Karnal has been suspended for a period of 5 days.

Giving information regarding retail drug sales license, Sh. Vij said that under Hisar zone the license of retail sale medicine of M/s Tak Medicines, Mandi Adampur was suspended for 10 days and M/s Kirmara Medical Store, Agroha for 3 days.

He said that under Ambala Zone, retail sale drug license of M/s Guru Aaseez Medical Hall, Nahan House, Ambala city has been suspended for 5 days, M/s Ashu Medicines, Khamba Chowk, Ambala city license for 7 days, and M/s GS Medicines, Kaith Majri, Ambala City’s license has been suspended for 7 days.

The Health Minister said that under Karnal zone, license of M/s JV Medical Store, Gharaunda has been suspended for 7 days, license of M/s Mittal Pharma, Karnal Road, Assandh for 3 days, M/s Wadhwa Medical Store, Prem Nagar, Karnal for 5 days, M/s Man Mark Pharma, New Sabzi Mandi, Karnal for 5 days, M/s Shivam Medical Hall, Kunjpura Road, Karnal for 5 days, M/s Maan Medicals, Hakikat Nagar, Karnal for 3 days, M/s Balaji License of Medical Store, Village Salwan, Karnal for 5 days, M/s S.N. Medicines, Assandh has been suspended for 5 days and the license of M/s Gavi Medicines, Basant Vihar, Karnal has been suspended for 5 days.

Similarly, he informed that the license of M/s National Medical Hall, Old Anaj Mandi Gate, Jind has been suspended for 5 days, M/s Ram Medical Store, Mangal Complex, Jind for 10 days and M/s Garvit Medicals, Bypass, Jind for 3 days.

Sh. Vij said that under Gurugram zone, the retail sale drug license of M/s Srikrishna Medicines, Wazirabad, Gurugram has been suspended for 7 days and the license of M/s Bharat Medical Store, Village Sonkh, Nuh in Mewat has been suspended for 10 days.

He said that playing with the health of the people in the state would not be allowed and such action would be continued in future also so that the supply of good and better medicines could be ensured to the people.
