ESMA was implemented in Haryana due to the pandemic Corona : Anil Vij

Chandigarh : Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that today ESMA has been implemented in Haryana considering the pandemic Corona and health workers will not be able to go on strike for next 6 months and a notification in this regard has also been issued.Sh. Vij tweeted today that “ESMA has been implemented in Haryana, now health workers will not be able to go on strike for next 6 months. This step has been taken due to a section of doctors who were wanting to go on strike.

Somebody wants to disturb the fight against Corona, so we had to apply ESMA – Vij
While talking to the mediapersons here today, he said that the whole country is fighting Corona, at such a crucial time a group of doctors announced to go on strike. He said that “we had accepted their demands and sent them to the Chief Minister and other departments immediately. He added that it takes time to get approval. After meeting with the Chief Minister yesterday, their demands were fulfilled and were given in-principle approval.” He said that the in-principle approval was given for which Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D.S. Dhesi and Additional Chief Secretary, Health Sh. Rajeev Arora waited for two hours to talk, they were informed that the Chief Minister has given in-principle approval. The doctors still said they have to go on strike. To this, Sh. Vij said that “I think there is someone behind them who wants to disrupt the fight against Corona that’s why we had to apply ESMA”.

ESMA’s notification issued- Vij
He said that as per the notification, an emergent public health situation has arisen due to increase in the surge of COVID cases and at present any strike by the employees of Health Department, Haryana shall gravely affect the health and essential services. Therefore, it is in public interest to prevent strike by doctors or other employees working in various organizations of Health Department, Haryana such as National Health Mission, Food and Drug Administration, AYUSH on contract, daily wages, honorarium etc.Similarly, he said that the strike by doctors or other categories of employees, including those employed on contractual daily wages, honorarium, etc. in various organizations of the National Health Mission, i.e. National Health Mission, Food and Drug Administration, AYUSH, etc. will now be prohibited under sub-section (1) of section 4-A of the Haryana Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1974 (40 of 1974), the Health Department, Haryana for a period of six months from the date of publication of this order in the Official Gazette.

Order issued regarding holding rally, demonstration, dharna, procession etc. in the state- Vij
While replying to another question, Sh. Vij said that orders have been issued regarding holding of rallies, demonstrations, dharnas, processions etc. in the entire state. He elaborated that the Election Commission has imposed restrictions in States where elections are to be held and Corona is spreading in the country, so we have imposed restrictions here as well.

Narendra Modi changed the direction of politics- Vij
Responding to a question regarding the election of five states, Sh. Vij said that today every person of the country wants BJP and Narendra Modi because Narendra Modi has changed the direction of politics, earlier in our country there used to be politics of emotions. Under which once the slogan of eradicating poverty was given, so give vote, but now only and only development politics is done. He said that it has been so many years since we got freedom, now every person of India wants development and progress.

Kejriwal’s habit of blaming others for hiding his shortcomings – Vij
Responding to a query regarding the statement of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, he said that restrictions are being imposed here as per the requirement. Kejriwal has imposed restrictions in Delhi because he has to roam in five election states and he has no time to work for the welfare of Delhi. Taking a dig at Kejriwal, he said that it has become a habit of Kejriwal to blame others to hide his shortcomings. Questioning Kejriwal, he said that you need to fight the battle of Corona in this way jointly rather than making allegations in this way.
