Shiv Pratap Shukla stresses for awaring future generations of our glorious past

Shimla : Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla stressed the need to come forward to make aware the future generation of our glorious past and legacy. He said that today the world is accepting India as Vishwa Guru and added that we should also accept this fact with pleasure.
He was addressing as the chief guest in the book releasing function organized by Thakur Ramsingh Itihas Shodh Sansthan Neri at historic Gaiety Theater in Shimla today. He also released the book “The Knowledge System of India” written by Dr. Bhag Chand Chauhan and the book “An Anthology of Discourses on India” edited by Dr. Kanwar Chandradeep and Rajeev Kumar.
The Governor said that today India stands at the forefront of innovation and knowledge creation. Its institutions of higher learning, research laboratories, and technology centers were driving the nation’s progress in diverse fields.
The young minds of the country are embracing the legacy of their ancestors by adopting the latest advancements in science and technology, creating a unique blend of tradition and modernity”, said Sh. Shukla.He said that we need to be proud of our heritage and culture.
He said that the Vedas, which were called the language of shepherds by foreign invaders, were researched by a person like Max Müller by taking them abroad and educating about them. He urged the young generation that they need to live in the present only then they could face the challenges of today.
Earlier, Prof. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri, Special Guest of the program and Vice President of Haryana Sahitya and Sanskrit Academy said that the history of India can’t be written on the basis of the texts written by the invaders. There were many sources of history and when we know those sources then only we would be able to understand the history of India, he added.
Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal, Vice-Chancellor Himachal Pradesh University Shimla & Central University welcomed the Governor. He said that the National Education Policy has been successfully implemented by the Central University, Dharamshala. He said that UGC NET, Hindi studies are being started in the Central University from this session itself.Dr. Chetram Garg, Director, Thakur Ramsingh Itihas Shodh Sansthan Neri welcomed the Governor.
