Review meeting of Vision Document of state government held

Shimla : A review meeting of Vision Document of State Government was held here today under the chairmanship of Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj. Industries Minister Bikram Singh and Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur were also present in the meeting.In the meeting, the review of development works of Vision Document was done and satisfaction was expressed on the accomplished works.Urban Development Minister directed the authorities to expedite the remaining works. Directions were given to make provision to ensure accountability of Tehsildar, Patwari and officials of Forest Department regarding cultivation of illegal substance in their respective areas.Urban Development Minister directed the officers of the Revenue Department to expedite computerization of revenue records and publicize the online services being provided by the Department. He directed various departments offering internship and fellowship programmes to publicize the programmes, as it would provide opportunity to youth of the State. He also directed to prepare detailed report for constituting task force for mitigating disasters. He asked the concerned officers to publicize the subsidy schemes being provided to domestic consumers for installing solar geysers in order to promote green energy.During the meeting, it was informed that a large number of works have been completed in Shimla and Dharamshala under Smart City project. It was informed that plastic waste worth Rs. 61 lakh has been purchased by the Environment, Science and Technology Department which was further utilized for various purposes. In order to make Shimla a Green City, efforts are being made in this direction. Solar energy plants of 2.50 mega watt capacity have been installed on roofs of government buildings in Shimla town.ACS MPP & Power R.D. Dhiman, Principal Secretary Revenue K.K. Pant, Secretary GAD Devesh Kumar and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
