Jai Ram Thakur dedicates Rs. 188 crore developmental projects in Chopal Vidhan Sabha area

Shimla:Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 188 crore in Chopal Vidhan Sabha area of Shimla district through video conferencing from Shimla today.Jai Ram Thakur dedicated Civil Hospital Chopal constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.39 crore, Baagi helipad in Kupvi tehsil constructed with an outlay of Rs. 25 lakh, 30 meter bridge over Mashrain khad on Timavi-Lachhog road built at a cost of Rs. 1.77 crore, Rs. 3.15 crore Lihat-Sarahan road constructed under NABARD, Rs. 3.05 crore Sarkali-Kyari Shilan road built under PMGSY, Rs. 8.91 crore Kupvi Dhotali-Daeya road constructed under PMGSY, Rs. 6.25 crore 33KVA Kupvi Sub Station, Rs. 40 lakh building of Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) Naura-Baura, Rs. 40 lakh building of GSSS Khaflah and  Rs. 63.29 lakh building of Government Senior Secondary School Bharan.Chief Minister inaugurated Rs. 1.06 crore lift irrigation scheme for Gram Panchayat Balghar of tehsil Theog, Rs. 95.66 lakh lift drinking water supply scheme for habitations of Gram Panchayat Malat, Rs.  84.21 lakh lift drinking water supply scheme for habitations of Gram Panchayat Majholi and  Rs. 86.54 lakh lift drinking water supply scheme for habitations of Kiri-2, Dochi Pujarali-2, Dhar Sawala and Cheelwar of Gram Panchayats Pujarali and Rulaha.Jai Ram Thakur also inaugurated upgradation of Civil Hospital Nerwa from 50 bedded to 75 beds, upgradation of Civil Hospital Chopal to 100 beds from 50 beds, elevation of Police Chowki Deha to Police Thana and upgradation of Primary Health Centre, Balghar to 30 bedded Community Hospital

Chief Minister laid foundation stones of building of Government Senior Secondary School Jubbar to be constructed at a cost of Rs. one crore, Rs. 9.15 crore  upgrdation and metalling-tarring  work of  Shirgah-Shalan road under PMGSY, Rs. 3.92 crore Khilar-Mandah road under NABARD, Rs. 10.02 crore upgradation and metalling-tarring work of Kupvi Dhotali to Daeya road under PMGSY, Rs. 1.39 crore building of Government Senior Secondary School, Madawag, Rs. 1.65 crore 40 meter bridge on Dochi-Kanah road under PMGSY, Rs. 6.95 crore construction work of Birkhai-Ramdara (Telar) road under PMGSY, Rs.5.76 crore upgradation and metalling-tarring work of  Sarkali-Kyari Shilan road under PMGSY, Rs. 6.27 crore upgradation and metalling-tarring work of Sarahan-Jorna road under PMGSY, Rs. 13.37 crore upgradation and metalling-tarring work of Sainj Tarahan  Kupvi road under PMGSY, Rs. 6.19 crore construction Dhanat to Manewati road under PMGSY, Rs. 75 lakh building of Government Senior Secondary School Bajroli, Rs. 63.22 lakh each for construction of bridges over Basadhar khad and Deyothi khad, Rs. 8.28 crore upgradation and metalling-tarring of Kuthad-Panded Kathodi road under NABARD and Rs. 24.93 crore upgradation and metalling-tarring work of Nanu-Kuthad-Basadhar-Kanodi-Gyankot road under PMGSY-2.Jai Ram Thakur also performed foundation stones laying ceremonies of Rs. 1.37 crore lift drinking water supply scheme Patte Khad for Renja, Nagan, Baldhar, Bhalla Jorna, Rs. 1.76 crore lift drinking water supply scheme Narati khad for Khadog, Bamta, Rupadi, Rs. 1.61 crore lift irrigation scheme, Shalavi khad for Gara, Bawara village, Rs. 13.24 crore for construction of Phidas bridge in Nerwa tehsil and Rs. 38.97 crore lift drinking water supply scheme for habitations of Theog tehsil and Block.

While addressing the people through video conferencing from Shimla Chief Minister said that Chopal Vidhan Sabha area of Shimla district was similar to the Seraj Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district in matter of topography and culture. He said that the area remained neglected in matter of development for several years but now with a hardworking and young leader representing the area of Chopal was witnessing unprecedented and unparallel development.Jai Ram Thakur said that  during his last visit to Chopal Vidhan Sabha area in July, 2018 he had dedicated and  laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 165 crore out of which several have been dedicated and work was in progress on the remaining. He said that Chopal Vidhan Sabha area has maximum schemes being implemented under PMGSY and NABARD. He said that credit of this also goes to MLA Balbir Verma who has vigorously followed up these projects at various levels.Chief Minister said that people of Chopal Vidhan Sabha area has also generously contributed towards the PM CARES Fund and Chief Minister Covid-19 Fund. He said that the State Government has made adequate arrangements for smooth transportation of apple produce during current season. He said that sufficient arrangement of carton boxes and trays have been made to the fruit growers for packaging their produce for transportation to various markets of the country.

Jai Ram Thakur said that farmers were being provided anti-hail nets and other plant protection material at highly subsidized rates. He said that efforts were also being made to provide irrigation facilities to maximum farm area to motivate farmers to go for cultivation of cash crops.Chief Minister said that although the cases of corona pandemic has gone up in the State during last few days but still the situation was fully under control. He said that Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was providing all possible help to the State Government to fight this pandemic. He said that on the request of State Government the Central Government had provided 500 additional ventilators to the State.Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur said that foundation stone of lift drinking water supply scheme worth Rs. 38.97 crore, which was laid by the Chief Minister today would solve the drinking water problem of Chopal as well as Theog area. He said that Himachal Pradesh has emerged as the best State in effective implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.Local MLA Balbir Verma while welcoming the Chief Minister thanked him for dedicating and laying foundation stones of various ambitious developmental projects in the area. He also detailed various developmental demands of the area.BJP Mandal President Mangat Ram Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and others on the occasion.
