A delegation from Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur call on Governor

Shimla : A delegation of Panchayat Pradhans of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur districts and the members of PITI Buddhist Lekhyur Tsogpa, Spiti Civil Society and Public Welfare Society Tabo called on Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at Raj Bhavan, today. They presented a memorandum to the Governor for exemption of Scheduled areas of tribal districts from the provisions of the Forest Conservation Act, 1980 for granting Nautor Land to the poor families.

They also urged the Governor to speed up the transfer of the Leo-Chango bypass road of nearly 11 Kms from HP Public Works Department to Border Road Organization from security point of view. They said that by constructing this bypass road it would solve all difficulties of Malling Nallah and this road would be shortened in distance of about 25 km.The Governor assured that their demands would be considered sympathetically.
