Jai Ram Thakur reviews developmental works of Seraj Vidhan Sabha area

Shimla : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while reviewing the developmental works of Seraj Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district here today directed the concerned departments to ensure time bound completion of ongoing projects besides giving top priority to implementation of Chief Minister announcements.Chief Minister said that road projects being executed under Central Road Fund (CRF), NABARD and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna etc. should be expedited keeping in view the prolonged winter season in the constituency. He also directed the officers to expedite FRA and FCA cases pertaining to roads and other developmental projects. He said that all the infrastructure projects related to education, health, tourism etc. should also be completed within stipulated time period.Jai Ram Thakur said that projects under Jal Jeevan Mission and Rural Water Supply Scheme should be taken in hand soon. He said that efforts must be made to provide irrigation facilities to maximum area besides covering cent percent household under tapped drinking water by mid of 2022. He said that vacant posts in health and educational institutions would be filled up so as to facilitate the people of the area. He said that Civil Hospital Bagsiad would be strengthened to provide better health care facilities to the people of the area.Chief Minister said that the infrastructure in Horticulture and Forestry College Thunag must be developed expeditiously. He said that FCA cases must be followed up at various levels so as to ensure that developmental projects do not hang in fire due to FCA clearances. He said that the Sericulture State Seed Centre at Thunag would be strengthened as this would not only diversify farming activities in the area but would also boost economic activities.Jai Ram Thakur said that Land Transfer Case of Thachi Degree College should be expedited so that work could be started soon. He said that appropriate allocation of funds would be made for construction of Block Primary Education Office (BPEO) at Bagsiad. He said that Senior Secondary School Bagsiad would be upgraded as Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya. He said that smart classes had been started in Government Senior Secondary School Bagsiad. He directed the officers to gear up the construction of science blocks in various senior secondary schools of the area.Chief Minister said that Government has given special thrust on employment oriented vocational and technical education in the State. He said that land must be transferred immediately to Government Pharmacy College Bagsiad and Government Polytechnic College Seraj. He said that these institutions would provide better educational facilities to the people of this remote area.Jai Ram Thakur said that construction of bus stands at Janjehli, Thunag and Chhatri should be carried at faster pace so that these could be completed in stipulated time period. He said that work on ITI Chhatri would be expedited.Chief Minister said that the area has immense potential from tourism point of view. He said that the ADB project being executed in Janjehli was nearing completion. He directed the officers to ensure quality construction in this project. He said that DPR under Spiritual Circuit for construction of trekkers hut and development of Shikari Devi-Bhatkidhar-Spehnidhar-Shattadhar must be prepared and followed up. He directed the officers to explore possibilities of constructing alternative road for Shikhari Devi temple to facilitate the devotees and nature lovers visiting the area.Chief Secretary Anil Khachi, Additional Chief Secretaries Ram Subhag Singh, Sanjay Gupta and R.
