Shimla : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stone of various developmental projects worth Rs. 208 crore through video conference for Doon Vidhan Sabha Constituency of Solan district from Shimla today.Chief Minister inaugurated garder bridge constructed on Sirsa river with an expenditure of Rs. 2.23 crore and bridge on link road to Bagguvala constructed at a cost of Rs. 76 lakh.Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of span to be constructed with an outlay of Rs. 1.47 crore on RCC bridge Banbirpur Khadd, upgradation of Banlagi- Chandi-Bhatt-Ki- Hatti road with an amount of Rs. 9.71 crore under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), upgradation of Shardighat-Dhayla road to be completed with an outlay of Rs. 2.32 crore under PMGSY, lift water supply scheme from Gambhar Khadd for Chandi area with an outlay of Rs. 4.39 crore, construction of 20 tube-well for Doon area with an amount of Rs. 15.78 crore and upgradation of Baddi- Sai-Ramshahar road under World Bank aided part-1 of Himachal Pradesh State Road Project with an expenditure of Rs. 171.12 crore.Chief Minister said that more than Rs. 200 crore have been spent on various developmental works in Doon Vidhan Sabha area in the tenure of present State Government. He said that Rs. 92.24 crore has been spent on various works  of Public Works Department and various works of Jal Shakti Vibhag were being implemented in Doon area by spending Rs. 61 crore.

Jai Ram Thakur appreciated the people of Doon Vidhan Sabha area for their generous contributions towards HP SDMA COVID-19 State Disaster Response Fund and PM Cares Fund. He also appreciated their generous service for providing food, ration and masks to the needy.He said that it was the responsibility of the State Government to bring back the stranded Himachali’s from other States. Till date, 2.15 lakh persons have been brought back to the State, due to which Corona cases have been found in some areas.Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal said that the State Government has given pace to development works in every Vidhan Sabha Constituency of district Solan. He said that Chief Minister has laid special emphasis on upliftment of the poor and needy. Several schemes and programmes have been implemented for overall development of the State, he added.Member of Parliament Shimla Parliamentary Constituency and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap thanked the Centre and State Governments for appointing him as President of the State BJP.MLA Doon Paramjeet Singh Pammi welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for inauguration and foundation stone laying of various developmental projects.Vice Chairman State Jal Prabandhan Board Darshan Singh Saini, Senior BJP leader Captain DR Chandel, BJP Block President Doon Balvir Thakur, Vice President of district BJP Solan Balbinder Thakur, State BJP Executive Member Gopal Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Solan KC Chaman, CEO, BBNDA Vinod Kumar, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Yadav and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
