Jai Ram Thakur announces BDO office at Nihri in Sundernagar Assembly Constituency

Sundernagar : Block Development Office at Nihri and Horticulture Extension Office at Kinder would be opened to facilitate the people of the area.This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a public meeting after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects of Rs. 43.60 crore at Nihri in Sundernagar Assembly Constituency of Mandi district today.Chief Minister also announced opening of BDO office at Nihri, 10 lakh each to seven new panchayats for panchayat Bhawan, Horticulture Extention Office at Kinder, Jal Shakti section at Chowki, plying of bus between Sundernagar to Balag, Veterinary Dispensary at Kinder, helipad at Mundri dhar, opening of Government Primary School Chiral, upgradation of GPS Jamoh Jalon to Government Middle School (GMS), GPS Timru to GMS, GMS Kandi Tikar to Government High School, GHS Hadaboi to Government Senior Secondary school, to start science classes at GSSS Kamand, opening of PHC at Charkhari and opening of fire sub-station at Nihri.He inaugurated Rs. 8.03 crore Government Degree College building at Nehri, Rs. 5.87 crore Nihri-Balag road and Rs. 8.69 crore WSS/LWSS Badhu-Rohara-Charkhari. Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of improvement and widening of two trenches of Slapper-Tatapani road, at a cost of Rs. 8.75 crore and 6.70 crore, Rs. 1.13 crore Government Secondary School building Doghar and Rs. 4.43 crore WSS Rohanda-Paura Kothi-Dumat Behli.Chief Minister said that he himself was from a humble background and from a hilly area, thus well understands the developmental needs of the common man.

He said that the State Government was laying special stress on development of neglected areas. He said that during the Corona pandemic, the State Government ensured that no one in the State was deprived of better treatment. He said that even the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Centre Government has appreciated the effective steps taken by the State Government for covid management in the State. Jai Ram Thakur said that the support of the Union Government during this pandemic was unprecedented. He said that 500 ventilators were provided to the State under PM CARES scheme by the Prime Minister. He said that 10 oxygen plants were established in the State and 28 more such plants were being established in different parts of the State in near future. He said that the pandemic also affected the economy of the country as well as the State. He said that projects of Jal Shakti Vibhag worth Rs 167 crore were under way in the constituency. He also detailed various developmental schemes launched by the State Government for welfare of every section of the society. He said that schemes like HIMCARE, Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Sahara Yojna etc has proved boon to lakhs of people of the area. Jal Shakti and Horticulture Minister Mohinder Singh Thakur said that Nihri area of Sundernagar constituency was quite difficult and hard area which requires special attention in matter of development. He urged the Chief Minister to consider all the developmental demands of the local MLA. He also urged the Chief Minister to open Extension Counter of State Cooperative Bank at Charkhari.MLA Sundernagar Rakesh Jamwal welcomed the Chief Minister to his home constituency. He said that it was for the first time that any Chief Minister of State has visited Nehri to address the people after dedicating developmental projects worth crores of Rupees after fifty years. He also detailed various developmental demands of his Vidhan Sabha area. State BJP Spokesman Ajay Rana, BJP Mandal President Pratap Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Mandi Arindham Chaudhary, SP Shalini Agnihotri were present on the occasion among others.
