Jai Ram Thakur address virtual rally of BJP Kutlehar Mandal of Una

Shimla/Una : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the virtual rally of BJP Kutlehar Mandal of Una district through Video Conferencing from Shimla yesterday evening said that the State Government has succeeded in checking the spread of corona virus in the State. He said that the situation of the State was far better than the neighbouring States and all the Congress ruled states of the country. He said that the Congress leaders of the State were desperately trying to even politicise this pandemic. He said that the Congress in the State is headless and directionless party with every leader trying to outsmart each other. Chief Minister said that at one stage the state was about to become corona free state, but the number suddenly shoot up due to the arrival of people of the State stranded in different parts of the country. He said that this was unavoidable as the Government could not afford to leave its people in distress. He said that still the people need not worry as there was no community spread as all the covid-19 positive cases were those who have travel history or their primary contacts. Jai Ram Thakur said that he had personally interacted with the panchayat representatives of 3226 panchayats through video conferencing and motivated them to work with dedication to fight this virus so that it does not spread at the village level. He said that India has now become self reliant in PPE Kits, N-95 masks and Ventilators. He said that today over 300 companies were manufacturing PPE Kits and the country was even in position to export the same.
Chief Minister said that the Union Government has increased the budget for MNERGA from Rs. 60,000 crore to Rs. one lakh crore. He said that the State Government has also started Mukhya Mantri Sehari Ajeevika Yojna to provide 120 days assured employment to urban poor in a year. He said that this would help the urban poor in getting employment on analogy of MNERGA nearer to their homes.Jai Ram Thakur said that the party workers have done commendable work in the Covid-19 crisis, by providing the needy all possible help and assistance. He thanked the people of Kutlehar Vidhan Sabha area for providing 80,000 masks to the needy and also contributing Rs. 30 lakh towards ‘HP SDMA Covid-19 State Disaster Response Fund’. Not only this, the people of the area downloaded about 11,000 Arogya Setu App, he added.Union State Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur said that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was effectively leading the state in this Covid-19 pandemic and the steps taken by the State Government have been appreciated at the national level. He said that whole world was collectively meeting out the challenges of this virus, but even in this testing time the Congress Party was playing politics on this sensitive issue. He said that long pending issues such as abrogation of Article 370, bringing in Citizen Amendment Act and doing away with Triple Talaq were resolved due to the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar while welcoming the Chief Minister thanked him for being considerate towards the developmental needs of Kutlehar area. He also thanked the Union State Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs for evincing keen interest in development of the area.District BJP Incharge Vinod Thakur and District BJP President Manohar Lal and Mandal President also shared their views on the occasion.
